Hi, I'm Sarah.

It’s so nice to meet you. That’s me, with the two little humans who changed my world (and my career). You see, after my oldest was born, I realized how incredibly unprepared I was to breastfeed and that I was most definitely not the only one who felt this way. My mom had breastfed three kids, so surely I could do it with no issue, right?

That didn’t quite work out how I anticipated.

I scrambled to find help, and quick! Lucky for me, I had access to a peer lactation counselor and support group, and quickly figured out who to turn to for help. But what if, rather than scramble after the fact, I’d prepared ahead of time and setup my support system so I knew who to call if problems arose?? And thus, my passion for lactation education and care was born.

Now, my mission is this:

To educate every pregnant person on the wonders of lactation and human milk, how the body produces and makes milk, and give knowledge about the normal course of lactation and newborn behavior.

Prior to becoming an IBCLC, I worked for a large firm in Kansas City in the market research field (#pumpingmomlife). In addition to education in lactation, I hold a Bachelor’s in Organizational Communications and Spanish Language from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. You could say I like to talk a lot… especialmente en español!

No matter where you are in your lactation journey, I am here to educate, support, and be an advocate for you and your baby!
